This CD cover was designed for Bristol Coon’s cover of “Waymore’s Blues,” originally written and recorded by legendary outlaw country artist Waylon Jennings. Released on Coon’s 2024 Farmland Sessions EP, the track introduces the classic song to a new audience while preserving its raw, road-worn spirit.

A custom typeface was created specifically for this project, drawing from vintage outlaw country lettering and bold 1970s record typography. The layered, high-contrast lettering adds movement and warmth against the dark, textured background, allowing the title to feel expressive without overpowering the layout. The overall design balances nostalgia with clarity, reinforcing the timeless nature of the song while presenting it through a contemporary lens.
